On May 8, 2024, the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services of Brazil issued Announcement No. 17 of 2024, which launched an anti-dumping investigation against stainless steel welded pipes originating in India and Taiwan, China, in response to the application submitted by the Brazilian domestic enterprise Aperam Inox Tubos Brasil Ltda. on January 31, 2024. On November 25, 2024, the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services issued Announcement No. 67 of 2024, making a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on the case. On December 12, 2024, the Management Executive Committee of the Brazilian Foreign Trade Commission issued Resolution 676 of 2024, deciding to impose temporary anti-dumping duties on stainless steel welded pipes originating in India and Taiwan, China for no more than six months, namely, 125.18-1086.35 dollars/ton for India and 1132.89 dollars/ton for Taiwan, China.
